Hey Baby Mamas,
So I’ve had a busy last few weeks! Still stuck in the middle of moving house which has been a slow (manageable) process of moving little boxes and random, miscellaneous items across (like kid’s ginormous stuffed teddy bears and odd shaped home wares) with this weekend being the big finale. We’ve got a truck booked to haul the rest of our furniture out and then roll up our sleeves and sugar scrub walls and clean the house out. I can’t believe how many marks end up on a wall thanks to two very
messy cute children. I got a quote to clean our tiny shoebox unit and the majority were all sitting around $400. Now I’m not a tight-arse by nature or anything like that at all. But I do know the value of money (my first job was earning $8.70 as a Subway sandwich artiste thank you very much). Seeing how you can tour our shoebox unit in 30 seconds flat and $400 could hypothetically buy some nice clothes/shoes/anything more fun than housework, I couldn’t justify the quote. So we’re up for a long day of family cleaning trying to convince kids that getting your own bucket of soapy water and washing walls is FUN. Because FUN. I might try and track down a similar looking toilet brush to the unicorn the minions made in the first Despicable Me movie for extra incentive. Think it would work?
